"The hotel was superb. Very pleasant environment all around the hotel and staff were very helpful and friendly. Minor issue was faced with positions of the shower head - and it allowed too much water to flow on the bathroom floor. However Hotel staff was helpful and provided plenty of extra floor towels to prevent spread. I would definitely recommend the hotel for location, great environment, staff, and nice rooms."

"The hotel was superb in every way and the initial view of the lake was amazing from my room. The breakfast had a good choice of food and the staff were excellent in looking after you and bringing coffee ehen you wanted. The room was excellent and cleaned well every day with clean towels left. I cannot praise this hotel more, my stay here was thoroughly brilliant."

"We had the first floor suite or mini apartment with fridge (freezer box above it) microwave, kettle, full size dishwasher and sink. They kindly left us a bottle of red wine and biscuits and two bottles of water. We went to Conad supermarket which wasn’t far by car, we are driving. Or Carrefour express within walking distance in town. Many restaurants locally. Being British we don’t like to eat late. We can recommend Centrale as they were always busy and cooked all day. The view! WOW! We had a large covered terrace which was great in April as it did rain. We could still enjoy outside. Note you would not get the sun on room 106. Sun sets behind the hotel so I would go for a ground floor room with the grass area. Sun set last there. We did get noise from the breakfast room below us and anyone drinking at night. Superking size bed, lots of storage for clothes. Large double vanity bathroom and sofa bed in the lounge. Dining table and chairs also on the patio with two sun loungers. Honestly we struck lucky with this hotel. Short walk to ferry terminal to get to the islands. We did Isola Bella it was stunning. But don’t eat at the sandwich stall with yellow tablecloths. Hubby got food poisoning on our last day. He ate the hot dog, I didn’t so we know exactly what it was. Staff here are excellent, we did a load of laundry for 10€ so handy as we had run out of various items. Bed comfortable. We got a free parking space across the road under the trees. "A Magical and Heartwarming Stay at Relais Casali della Cisterna We originally planned to stay for just one night, and ended up staying for two, simply because we couldn’t leave! Relais Casali della Cisterna is a truly special place, elegant, peaceful, and full of warmth. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine kindness. The hosts, Simona and Alberto, went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, offering great local tips, and always making us feel at home. Our room was beautifully designed, spacious, and spotless, with breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore. Waking up to the view of the lake from our balcony was unforgettable. The gardens surrounding the villa are lush and peaceful, perfect for relaxing walks or a quiet coffee in the morning sun. Breakfast was excellent, fresh pastries, fruit, local cheeses, and eggs made to order. It’s one of those places where every detail feels cared for. The location is also great, just a few minutes’ drive from Stresa and Belgirate, close enough to explore but quiet enough to feel completely away from it all. We’ve stayed in many places across Europe, but this one really stands out for its charm, authenticity, and the warmth of its hosts. We left with a full heart and wonderful memories. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back!"
