The old house has so much character, and the gardens were a real drawcard too. The house isn’t right in the city centre, but it is so easy to get around and everything is very close. We loved the quiet location with easy parking. It only took as a few minutes to get into the CBD. Steve and Chet have gone to a lot of effort with providing a map with all the highlights marked...

"The unit was excellent but the when we arrived and I asked if he wanted the Expedia booking reference he rambled on about ‘fat cats in America’ taking money offshore and that it’s better to look up the price on there and then to call the motel direct (to cut out the middle man). Was unimpressed to be lecture us like this? if you want to advertise on their platform accept get they take a commission and don’t try to circumvent the process that brought the customer to you. "

"The room is clean. Walk 1.2 km to the nearly shopping centre or cafe. The hotel provides buffets breakfast only. The in-room service system didn’t work either. Love the welcome cookies. The Asian staff is particularly nice and very helpful."

"The room was far better than I was expecting. I was impressed by my large roof balcony (although far too wet and windy to use it on my visit) and the lovely view to the Botanic Gardens from it. Comfortable bed, the heating worked and a nice bathroom. Only improvement I can think of is a desk and chair, as I got a kink in my back from trying to work on my laptop off the bedside table. It's walkable from here. The Botanic Gardens across the road is worth a visit. There's a restaurant/café next...
