I’ve been going to St Croix for 12 years and need to advise that if you’re looking for a 5 star luxury hotel / resort; you’re on the wrong island; goto St Thomas. Hotels here are mainly historic / small, which keeps with the island. With that said I loved staying at this hotel. It’s 300 years old; very clean, in the heart of everything, just feet from the restaurants / shops / water. The manager is on site. Being historic, if you stay in the top floors you must walk the stairs. I stayed in a top floor room (3rd story) with a nice ocean view; (yes it took a minute to get hot water but what’s the rush, the water was hot and you’re in a 300 yo hotel). It’s decorated with a lot of historical items and there is a very relaxed covered bar!). This is a perfect hotel for couples who want to relax, come and go as you please. I will staying here the next time I come to St Croix!

What an amazing experience with this absolutely charming hotel! From walkikg in to the moment we left we were treated with such warmth, friendliness, cleanliness and hospitality that I personally have experienced thus far. 10 Stars hands down. Jamey, the hotel manager is spectacular. She helped us with whatever we needed, offered the most positive and friendliness in a person that's now a rarity. What a wonderful hotel and we can't wait to return The Comanche Hotel will be the only Hotel we will ever book in St. Croix. Amazingly clean and charming room, ocean view, right downtown so everything is in blocks walk. Amazing Pavillion whwre they have sip and paint open air available monthly. Beautiful and wonderful. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed this Hotel experience.

The room is clean though there are bees on the bathroom floor every time I step in there. I don’t know where they are coming from. Floors are squeaky but it’s understandable because it’s an old house. However there are parts of the floor that are lifting up when you walk, so you have to be careful. I made the manager aware of this concerns before I left and she said she’s going to get it fixed. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. Overall experience was ok. I would recommend this place for people that just need a place to rest their heads but not a place for R&R.

We actually enjoyed ourselves! The host and staff were fabulous!! Although it is located in the historic part of town, it is a little outdated. But the rooms ŵere clean. The only issue was the tv and the unit was not blowing hard as it should have, but the room was still comfortable. The pool is not working condition right now, but you can catch the ferry to the Hotel across from it and be able to enjoy their small beach with a bar! The only thing is, you will have to use a taxi/shuttle service to see the island if yoi did not rent a vehicle. There is no parking at the hotel, just FYI. There are a lot of shops and food within walking distance. So dont listen to the negative reviews as this is again, a historical area and not like your chain hotels. If you can get past that, you will really enjoy your stay.

Very cozy

Our stay was great! Very nice hotel and very friendly and helpful hosts. The reservation process was very easy, also check in and check out. Very close to boardwalk, shops and restaurants. The room is very spacious and beautiful colonial style. My suggestion is to add a coffee maker in the room, also some shelves in the bathroom and curtains to block the light from outside. Very safe.

First I walk in looking for the front desk i couldn’t even find turns out it had It had an envelope with my name on it keys inside and a form to sign later on when someone get back to the front desk sitting there in a bowl looking for the room number couldn’t even find it. A quest was there very nice shows us the room first thing I notice door was open I felt so unsafe! Walk in the room the heat slap me like 50 times in my face smh! Horrible! Bed had hair on it towels was. Just dirty! Bathroom curtains was missing those little hangers to hold it up dirty and tub was moldy I couldn’t stay there I didn’t feel safe! Staying there. Finally saw the manager cause one of the guest that help me look for her and tell her I’m not happy with the room and told me come in to the office to Speak about what was happening she show me another room even worse I wasn’t happy at all walk out cause she was so unhelpful and wasn’t happy that I didn’t wanted to stay in her dirty beds and room.. I cancel and book a better room. I don’t recommend this place to no one! Is horrible! I which I took picture! Oh and also they have a pool that’s completely empty!

The owner/manager was sweet and friendly. For the most part, it was nice… Parking is challenging. It was my 3rd time staying but the 1st time in quite a while. Location is convenient. Restroom just needed attention to cleanliness details. I would stay again.

The price was good and the hotel has a lot of charm. What was terrible was that I booked the room and paid for it online after having my flight canceled. I was in a desperate situation and exhausted, took a cab to the location. Having fully paid for my room so that it would be guaranteed, I arrived around 8:00 p.m. only to find that there was no staff to check me in. They have signs on the door saying that you have to have an appointment for check in. They direct you to a phone number to call or text. I did both and received no response at all. I was exhausted and just wanted to get into the room that I had already paid for and was non-refundable. I called Expedia and Expedia also attempted to reach somebody with the hotel. I was on the phone with Expedia for a long time and they were not able to get a hold of anybody either. Finally a worker at the bar was able to get a hold of the owner of the property who did eventually help. The owner was very nice. The room was pretty cute and appeared clean, but did have cockroaches.I slept with the lights on because of that. This was in St Croix and cockroaches I imagine are pretty common because of the climate, so while I did not like it, I believe this is something you would find in a lot of hotels and motels.The lack of customer service for me was the real drawback, they should not be accepting payment for rooms that they are not willing to check customers into.

The hotel is nice. It was the manager who made it unpleasant. I booked through Expedia last minute. When I got to hotel about 4:30 pm it was locked with no one around. Numerous calls went unanswered. When a gentleman finally found the manager there was no apology or any acknowledgement for making me wait over 1 hr. It was like I inconvenienced her. Again when I checked out she took key and no interaction.

This property is old but has a lot of potential. It has a historic feel and is really cool. However, it could use a refresh. It’s loud around there, as there is a club next door. But it’s super convenient and so close to shopping, places to eat and the boardwalk! It’s inexpensive and did the job for a last minute quick trip to the island.
