The Rambler Hotel

"Overall it was satisfactory. There was a little bit of hair on the shower wall. No towels in the room. Called down for towels. They said they would bring them up but 30 minutes later I went to get them myself. They had three staff in the office so it appears they could have delivered. The breakfast was continental. Hard boiled eggs. Toaster with eggo waffles. Instant oatmeal packets. Cold cut ham and cheese. Coffee, milk and juice. Some arcade games were out of order and they were extra charge. The 70 theme was fun and I enjoyed the style. Short walk to the blue line. Neighborhood had trash in the street and some homeless but this did not bother me and I did not feel unsafe. I probably would just stay in Tijuana next time as they had large American chain hotels for slightly less money and much nicer. We stayed 4 days and they did not take out our trash one day. They did make beds and change towels daily. We didn't use the pool but it looked good. Oversized Jenga, corn hole and a bicycle were complimentary. I believe the location is up and coming as Chula vista is developing the Neighborhood andcl adjacent nature preserve. Casino a short walk but we did not attend."
