"Parking available at rear of hotel. The hotel accommodates clients from social services. Noisy in the early hours due to some guests. Guests hanging around smoking on the front entrance. Room smelled of weed and smoking. Would not stay again"

"The Station Hotel has a very convenient location—right across from the train station / Union Square and within walking distance of the city centre. The price is reasonable, which makes it appealing for budget travellers. However, I wouldn’t stay here again. The room showed clear signs of wear and tear, particularly the bathroom door, which was falling apart at the bottom, and missing grout in many of the floor tiles. The double bed was actually two singles pushed together at different heights, which made it uncomfortable. Because of its location, the hotel was very noisy, and it seemed there was little soundproofing between the windows and the road meaning we barely slept. Staff were friendly, but the reception area had an overpowering smell. Non-smokers will also find it unpleasant that people smoke right at the main entrance. Overall, while the location and price are good, the room condition, noise, and entrance environment mean I would not return."
