"This hotel was outstanding, and the staff seemed happy to go above and beyond to be helpful! The breakfast was amazing (best mushroom toast in my life), the room clean and well designed, the bed comfortable, the shower powerful, and the location was convenient and safe. Room 610 was quiet and perfect. Room 1010 had an odd high-pitched sound occasionally that was a bit bothersome. It’s a little high in price, but still a lovely hotel. "

"The staff was most helpful and wonderful. Special Kudos to Nancy and Matt. I was not there but one night due to the schedule changes from the airlines due to the illegal war on Iran from our idiot, felon president. However, my only surprise was the mold and mildew in the shower. It looks like the shower was never fully sprayed or scrubbed down and that was a bit gross. I would book this property again."

John Paul makes you feel welcome and pampered and the suites are large, well appointed and more than comfortable for relaxing and sleeping when on property. So much better than much larger chain hotels throughout Joburg. Location and luxury make the Parkwood our top option. "

"I loved everything about this hotel. After speaking with Tamsyn for several months, she (and the rest of the staff!) made sure my visit was exactly how I wanted. The food was spectacular. "Bring your own wash cloths. There are mice outside running on the property so get used to that. Staff was friendly. The cleaning crew will open the door after a soft knock so be prepared. They change sheets mon, wed, friday. I would not stay here again but it may be a place for others to stay. The mall is within walking distance. That's a plus. Decent neighborhood. "

"Goede locatie en vriendelijk personeel. Enkel was onze geboekte taxi door het hotel niet aanwezig op de vlieghaven. De deur naar de kamer ernaast kon bij ons niet op slot worden gedaan (slot was kapot) waardoor ze waarschijnlijk in de kamer naast ons zo in onze kamer konden. Ontbijt was oke en leuk dat er een fitness aanwezig was! "

"From my very first moment stepping into the hotel I did not feel welcome I was not greeted with a smile even though I asked for one the receptionist just stared at me in the face. They were not able to organise an early check-in due to poor planning and poor communication. I was told I’m not allowed to wear my slippers in the communal area in the hotel I was only allowed in to wear them in my bedroom and 100% not allowed whilst eating breakfast. Specific members of staff are great at their job...
