I had live roaches in ny room. Broken toilet seat, missing tiles in bathroom black tape holding the towel rack in place the bathtub didnt have drain covers and the bathroom door wouldnt shut..

I should have read the other reviews before booking this hotel. This is a very old, historic hotel and it could be absolutely beautiful IF the owners and management cared. However, it was so dirty they should probably fire their cleaning staff. The bathroom wall tiles were dirty as was the sink and bathtub. I turned on the water in the tub and the water that came out initially was yellow and it stirred up black particles in and around the drain. Thankfully we were there only one night because I skipped the shower. The bathroom door didn't close because the door was too big for the frame. As for the staff, the two at the front desk were young ladies and never once did they smile or acknowledge people as they walked by. When we arrived at 3pm, the street and parking lot were completely blocked off. We didn't realize the Sugar Festival was going on right in front of the hotel. We parked a few streets over and called the hotel to ask where we should park. We were told, "Park in front and when you come in we'll give you a parking pass". I told her the street was blocked off and we couldn't park in front. I would think she should have known that since it had been closed all day. She then told us to find a place to park and they'd give us a parking pass for the bank parking lot. As for the breakfast, it was cold cereal and instant oatmeal as of 9am on a Saturday. All in all, it was the worst hotel experience we've ever had and I absolutely do not recommend it!

First, the place looks nothing like the pics. It is very run down, not very clean and the rooms are very small. Rooms: very dirty carpet, no closet or dresser to put clothes away, old chipped paint. Bathroom was clean as was the bedding. Breakfast? Instant oatmeal, cold cereal, there was a waffle maker and mix, and coffee. The grounds have trash everywhere, weeds, not kept up at all. One table in the courtyard if you want to sit outside and have coffee or smoke. Our friends couldn't even get a key card because there was no one there that knew how to do it. There was no bar, but I think one is opening soon. I don't know if these are new owners that inherited this mess or if they have let it go, but $100 a night was way way too much.

The staff had trouble checking me in. Internet service didn't work. There was an ice bucket in my room, but when I inquired at the front desk, I was told the ice machine was broken. My room was missing a smoke detector, which I question whether the facility met fire requirements. My impression was it was an old facility lacking in updating and maintenance.

The bar and lounge was closed and will be reopened next week. Place really run down. Staff very nice but we had to go to front desk for an ice bucket, then had to go back down because the tv was not connected right. The outside area was a round concrete table with concrete benches. The landscapers (or work staff), picked some plants out and put them on the table. We had to put them on the ground so we could sit there. The roll up in the room shade was broken, and folded up to the top, so when I pulled it down, it came flying down. When we checked it, they could not make us a key and had to wait until the owner got there so he could do it. It had a lot of old antique things in there that was fun to look at though.

Staff was great. Hotel is really old and needs renovation. Yes, it's on the National Historical registry but.. First night, TV didn't work. Took them 1 plus hrs to get to my room. 2nd. Day, no hot water. 3rd day, door to room never did lock. Room was very old, it was clean. Bathroom sink not in bathroom. No elevator. They offer a free breakfast, stay away from that. Location is petfect

We did not stay there, we tried to get a refund the hotel told us NO. The place is absolutely disgusting & not safe to stay there, the place should be condemned.

The room was way overpriced for what it was, very old hotel. The walls and carpet were dirty. There was no hot water. No remote for the second tv. Free breakfast was minimal.

Its a landlord special. Stained sheets, and poorly brush painted bath tub. The celing looked like it caved in at some point and was poorly repaired. Dident even attempt to blend the repair in. Everything is painted over.

Excellent staff but the hotel could use some improvements, particularly the restrooms. At the very least the restroom in the room where my husband and I stayed. All things considered, we always stay at this hotel while in Clewiston and we plan to continue to do so.

No hot water for two night I had to check out a day earlier and go to other hotel!!! Dirty carpets, old curtains, toilet paper holder falls off , window heater broke open and you have to look inside window unit all the time . I do not recommend it and I demand a refund for my horrible experience!

The experence started with the clerk assigning rooms that were already occupied. The Clewiston Inn is a rather old facility that could benefit from a renovation. That said, the king bed slept comfortably and the room was quiet. Parking was close and convenient. Should you be a Pickle Baller, the courts are just across the street. Warm water came quickly, the pedistal sink & toilet were modern. Hotel and room appeared clean. I believe the staff does well with the facility as a whole. I would stay again.

We didn’t even stay, the smell was awful and the room looked like it had been holding prisoners that tried to claw their way out. I’m an outdoorsman and can handle “rough around the edges” this place was horrible. My son was literally scared and nauseated just walking into the room. We left immediately and checked in somewhere else.

I had fishing tackle (rods, tackle, clothes) and was at the very end of the hall - the last door. I could hear the people next door talking in normal tones so it was difficult to sleep. I did have help with my bags checking in, but when I left Sat. morning, I had to make 3 trips to load my stuff - up and down the stairs and all the way down the hall several times. I don't plan on staying there again.
