"Could not put Air Conditioning on below 20. Breakfast for $90 was very disappointing. The scrambled eggs were not hot and the bacon had an odd taste and smell and it didn’t look good. I had to fill up on toast. We ate out at Chez Alice which was terrific with all local homemade food for the remainder of our trip."

The beach chairs and amenities are not available in October, but that’s understandable for the off-season. Room service was so easy and delivered in less than 15 minutes. "Thank you for a lovely stay at the Splendid Hotel. It lives up to its name. Staff were super friendly, rooms were clean and spacious, easy to access. The best part is we were warmly welcomed despite our soggy appearance and gritty bicycles after getting caught in the rain cycling from Arles. There was a safe storage for our bikes and an elevator to get us to our room. All greatly appreciated by these tired travelers. "
