"When trying to check in at 10:30 at night, was informed by desk clerk that our reservations (made at least a month before) was cancelled. It was college graduation that weekend, and they gave our room away. Her lack of concern for the fact that we did not have a place to stay that night was quite noticeable.
I called Monday morning to the hotel, and spoke to Nicole. I was frustrated and upset, and spoke in a frustrated voice. Nicole hung up on me, as I was speaking. When I called back, she did not answer. I called from another number, and when she answered, she said she was not going to listen to me scream. I was at work at the time, and was sitting in an office that would not have tolerated me screaming. After I spoke to Nicole for a few minutes, she gave me Sandy (the general manager's schedule, so that I could reach out to her as to why my reservation was cancelled, and why I was not notified.
I called and spoke to Sandy on Tuesday, who did not have many answers for me, and said she would investigate the situation, and call me back. As of today, Thursday, I have not heard from Sandy.
I can assure you, I will never book with Choice Hotels again.
