"We were lucky enough to book this place last minute and so glad we did - it was amazing. Friendly hosts who provided a wonderful welcome basket of milk, juice, yoghurt, biscuits, crisps granola and bread which was a really thoughtful touch. The place is huge and comfortable and we lit an open fire which was lovely. The accommodation is isolated from the main farm and is therefore wonderfully quiet and peaceful. "Great little boutique motel in Ashburton. The host greeted me and showed me the room. The room has already had heat pump on which was great for the cold night. You have all amenities and then some like nespresso gusto machine. The thing that surprised me was the ropes in the wardrobe, just like in hotels. A good touch I think. We had a wee glitch at night where the TV turned itself back on every 2-3hrs. I have let the host know at the checkout in the morning.However, the bed and pillows...

"Spotlessly clean, which was great. Quite dated, I was surprised that it didn't have heated towel rail in bathroom. Haven't seen that for a while. Great shower. Personally I found the bed too soft. Rooms don't get much natural light,so even on a sunny day, it was quite dark inside and we had to have lights on."

"Had a short overnight stay. The heaters worked well which made the room cosy on a cold evening. The owner was friendly & provided fresh milk for the morning. The kitchen had enough items to home cook if you wished, but we had a nice meal at the old pub & morning coffee at Barkers. A nice little stop in Geraldine."
