"The staff from the front desk to the breakfast attendants were friendly and very helpful.
The amenities from the free breakfast to the pool were great.
We would definitely recommend and will return. "
"Everything that caused a two star review: stains everywhere, ripped shower curtain, dirty playpen, broken sink handle, inaccurate description of Mountain View and baby “crib” which was a dirty pack and play.
On Expedia it says “Mountain View room” and the pic is cropped above the now current hotel in front of it. The baby crib described was a pack and play. The one first given was so dirty and then was given a different one which was cleaner but still stained. The shower curtain was torn all across the top and they brought a new one to our door but didn’t install it. So I guess that was meaning I was supposed to do it? The sink handle also broke off when turning it on. The floor wasn’t vacuumed well at all while we were staying there. The couch chair, the office chair, the floor, the curtain, all had stains on them.
No idea how this hotel had four stars it does not deserve it."
"Overall I am disappointed in my stay. We were on a multi day trip for my niece because she will be going to Colorado College in the fall and they were hosting some events for new students. One of the main reasons we booked with Doubletree is because the pool and hot tub looked way nicer than other hotels. However after we booked and only a couple days before check-in, we were informed that the pool was undergoing reservations but that it would be finished by the time we got there. When getting there, we found out that was not the case and that the pool wasn't going to be ready until the next evening and that it might take a while to heat up. We weren't happy but it was something that we just had to deal with. So, we went down on our 3rd day there and were met with puddles of water around the pool and hot tub, the hot tub being luke warm and the pool freezing. Had we known about the pool issue, we would have booked elsewhere, maybe even a different Hilton property. I stay at a lot of Hilton properties and it has made me question if I should be looking at other hotels to stay at. Especially when I spent a lot of money on this stay at Hilton."
Drury Plaza Hotel Colorado Springs Near the Air Force Academy
8/10 Good
"We checked in the staff was friendly. The hotel has a bar now but it opens late.
If you are handicapped the beds are pretty high. The room was clean, the bed covers just looked old.
At 5:30pm they hold a dinner like Kick-Back is what the call it. There was meatballs in gravey, mashed potatoes, salad, hot dogs, mixed warm veggies, vegetable soup. Parents or adults can enjoy 2 adult beverages. They have coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a soda machine. The down side is people would put there personal cups up to the spouts " dont be that person". There is popcorn and lime water in the check in.
The pool is an inside to the outside and back. There is a hot tub and 1 bathroom in the pool area. They have comfy chairs, tables and provide towels.
Im unsure about the work out area.
The pillows on the bed fall between the bed and wall while sleeping. The shower has body wash, shampoo and conditioner on the wall. We had a light from the outside shinning right into our room. When you close the curtains it helps. Beds are firm. Breakfast I think is 6:30 am to 9 am. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuts and gravy, juice, cereal, hard boild eggs, breads, make your own waffles, sasuage and oatmeal. The worst part only strawberry yogurt. Im allergic and eat yogert for breakfast. Please put vanilla or plain yogurt as well. I could not eat 99% of the foods due to allergies it was disappointing. But nice they have breakfast. So many military people stay there too. Sooo many!!!"
