"I booked and prepaid for a double room with en-suite. Upon arrival, when they saw I was alone, I was moved to a single room with restroom down the hall and downstairs. I am a 65 y/o woman, traveling alone. I need a bathroom at night. None of the sinks worked, except for the one downstairs powderoom. "A bit disappointing this time around. There were no lamps in the room, the outlets were hard to access, the shower caulking was falling apart, and the wifi didn't work in the room so I had to hotspot. Okay for one night but would have been difficult to have an extended stay. The location is of course superb and the staff at the coffee shop is really lovely and super helpful. "

"We have stayed here before and received the usual warm welcome from the owner. The location is to the east of Carrick town, on a side road set back from the M4. The accommodation is quiet though. Bedrooms are cosy and homely.. A good breakfast in the dining room is ensured. Plenty of safe parking space."

"This property is above their cafe and my room 5 was directly above the ventilation fans - so you hear them loudly throughout your stay (no mention when booking of “bring earplugs”) Despite being mid December, the radiator in my room was not producing heat - perhaps the staff wear outdoor coats when ‘preparing’ the room.
