Athenry was a happy surprise for us and The lodge at Old Barracks was the hub of the town. Breakfast was good. Room was a bit hot, but staff was nice and it was a great location.

Food is great. Super friendly staff. Nice location. But as a business traveler it wasn’t ideal. Check in isn’t hard but it’s awkward as you check in from the cafe. The room wasn’t super clean, especially the bathroom. WiFi password written in the room wasn’t right. The location is convenient but it was loud. The pubs were loud and then the high street was loud in the morning.

Great stay!

Room was great! Was a little complicated checking in at the cafe across the street. Staff was great when we arrived and recommended the pizza next door which was delicious. The breakfast the next morning was great too. Would definitely recommend!

Best place to stay in Athenry

Athenry is a lovely little medieval town with lots of typical Irish pubs and friendly locals. Our accommodation was fabulous, with a really comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast. The staff were so friendly. We will definitely be back.

My family's stay here was fantastic! Rooms were a bit warm but they did supply a fan to help with that. They also left us a few sweets in our room which was a nice touch. The staff was so kind and the breakfast here was absolutely phenomenal. I'm suddenly a huge fan of chia pudding! Overall a really great stay and just a short 30 min into Galway which is what my family wanted. Such a cute, quaint town.

Fantastic stay in Athenry

Fantastic experience overall. The friendliest staff you’ll meet anywhere. Food was great, we dined in the pizzeria and breakfast was made to order and very good. Room was extremely nice and everything was spotless. 10/10 for everything really.
