Spacious room with spacious shower (can be rather small in many places). The staff was wonderful and the restaurant connected to the hotel was superb. Having been in Sicily for already 3 weeks the menu at Vela was a welcomed experience worthy of a trip there for sure. Alice and Giada and whole staff were absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended and will visit again for sure."

"Very impressed with the management of a resort of this size. Full day of amenities if you wished to remain at the resort from the beautiful swimming pool, adult only beach, spa and daily activity calendar. You can walk for miles! Plenty of room at your choice of amenities. Complimentary buffet breakfast and dinner was outstanding. Food for every palate. Sciacca piazza was a short drive with beautiful views, restaurants and shopping. Returned to resort with beautiful live music beginning at 9:15 pm to enjoy a nightcap and sea breeze. Although this was an adult trip very family friendly. Will return if visiting west coast of Sicily again!"

"What a pleasure to have a front desk staffed with such friendly people. Easy check in, parking was directly in front of the hotel and an elevator for room access. Rooms are big and so are bathrooms. "Really, it was good. A very nice hotel with an incredibly welcome staff. They solve your problems immediately if you have any (we had a problem (my wife felt ill at ease) and they organized an ambulance at once). Nice pool, clean and cosy. It’s cleaned up every morning and is open 9.30-19.00. You have got a coin douche, toilets, transats. Well, you know it’s not a five stars hotel, but it’s calm and six minutes walk to the beach. There is a free parking, it’s not near the hotel, you should walk 3-4 minutes. But it’s quite practical. Good breakfast for this hotel. For those who smoke : book rooms with a seaside view, otherwise you’ll be fried on your balcony afternoon."
