"We stayed two nights at the Coast Discovery Inn and didn’t have the greatest experience. The walls of the rooms are very think so you can hear what people are saying in the rooms next to you. All the doors slammed shut so made it very difficult to sleep at night. We were right outside the elevator and it was very loud so needless to say we did not sleep well at all. The bathroom was et up very strange and it was awkward trying to get ready in the mornings. The continental breakfast was average....

"Clean nice room, comfortable beds, front desk staff accommodating when hot water tank broke and they upgraded us to another room. Restaurant staff very friendly. "

"Friendly staff, excellent am coffee, clean and comfortable. Zero soundproofing and plumbing makes loud noises in the middle of the night. I thought the pipes had sprung a leak and the bathroom was maybe flooding. It was just crazy, loud gurgling noises from the sink. Maybe only a bottom floor issue?"

"The room is a bit on the small side. The heating/cooling unit doesn't work properly so expect to be either too hot or too cold. No staff is around after 5 so if you need something you are on your own. To me the bed was comfortable as it is soft and I am a side sleeper. The pillows are on the flat side and need to be replaced. The shower head is also needing repair or replacing. Little details like this are important to truely make this place Bliss."

"The room was relatively clean, could use a dusting, lots of old cobwebs in corners, and when moving a chair dirt and dead bugs on the floor and in corners, but it provided a cheap place to spend a night, check in was easy, and front desk was friendly."

"Overall, disappointing. I chose a pricier place for a wedding visit, and this was a letdown. It was basically a glorified motel. The hairdryer was attached to the wall and very cheap. There was no iron in the room. The bedding is tired, and the bathroom needs to be updated. I could hear guests above and below us. It was basically a glorified motel. For $200 a night in Powell River, I expected more. There is no breakfast on site."

"This was a lovely little oasis. Small but mighty comes to mind. The need was exceptionally comfortable and the sheets were amazingly soft! Tiny little bathroom but it has everything we needed and more. Clean as a whistle as well. All the stars, especially for the price point. "

"Kitchen was great. Had microwave, fridge freezer, hotplate, coffee maker and kettle. Even an air fryer. Had everything we needed. Place was clean and comfortable . I'd give the bed a top rating, slept really well. Although some aspects of the room was a little worn (floor/tub) I think the age of the property and price reflects this, so it wasn't something I would not have expected or was personally bothered by.
