"Call because we need it a late check in, once we arrive the front desk clerk was not very helpful, took a very long time to do are check in, gave us a room in the second floor with a horrible view even though we had VIP from Expedia, and will not let us pay for a day pass for parking instead every time we wanted to leave the property had to go the from desk so he could grant us access."

"I chose this hotel because we wanted to relax by the pool for the day after getting off the cruise ship that morning. The pool looked lovely in the pictures. When we arrived, we were told that the pool was closed for renovations. I wish we had been informed of this in advance as I would have changed my booking. The restaurants was also closed until dinner so we could not get a meal there until later afternoon. We ended up at the pool and restaurant at the hotel next door. This was not ideal as we were travelling with our 87 year old mother. Other than that, the hotel is very clean, and well-located."

Hotel St. Michel
10/10 Excellent
"This property offers a charming throwback in time with a distinct vintage feel. It features beautiful wooden floors and an old school elevator complete with an operator, adding to its nostalgic character. Room access is via traditional physical keys, which further enhances the classic experience.
The hotel is very intimate, with only 28 rooms, and is ideally located in the heart of Coral Gables within walking distance of several restaurants, banks, and a Target. While the property does not offer an extensive range of amenities, it does include an Italian restaurant on the first floor.
Overall, it was a very pleasant and unique stay."

THesis Hotel Miami Coral Gables, Curio Collection by Hilton

"We booked two rooms—one with two queens and one with a king. Upon arrival, the king room was apparently more of a suggestion than a guarantee, so we ended up with two rooms with two queen beds.
We got there a bit early and decided to have lunch at the Collab. It’s a great-looking restaurant, and the food was good once it arrived, but the wait was long enough that we could’ve left, found another restaurant, eaten, and still beaten our original order back to the table. There was a private party going on, and it was pretty clear the staff was overwhelmed. They were very nice about it and comped the meal, which was appreciated, but not exactly the warm welcome you hope for.
Once we got to the rooms, things didn’t improve much. The bathtub was dirty and appeared to be filled with pubic hair, which is not a detail anyone wants to confirm in person. The towel also had a stain that I made a conscious decision not to investigate. The overnight parking situation also deserves a mention. You can only park on one side of the garage on the third floor, and finding the entrance felt like a scavenger hunt with no clues. It drove my husband absolutely insane. Lastly, the pool situation is a bit misleading. The photos make it look like there are two pools, but the larger one is actually for the residences next door and not available to hotel guests. So technically there are two pools—you just can’t use the better one."
