"We stayed 1 night only in the deluxe standard cabin on Jan 7. The room has an unique design, but very small with 1 queen bed, 2 chairs, 1 small table and mini kitchen cabinet (water boiler, toaster, cup, glass, plate are available with free tea-coffee-choc). Shared bathroom-toilet-kitchen are clean. But uncomfortable if in the night you need to go to toilet, you must walk around 2 minutes, and very cold outside! Behind our cabin is camping ground, in front is campervan parking. So if you feel...

"It was amazing, I found everything to an excellent standard. I have stayed at a lot of motels and this motel is right up there. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. I would stay there again if I come back to Thames. You should give it a try."

"Fantastic place, charming, quiet, Terry a great host/owner; beautiful location 2.5 km walk to downtown Tairua but pitch dark at night, glad I had a reflector vest Basics in place for cooking, TV has Netflix, prime and good channels. Water across the street, complimentary kayaks and shovels for hot beach ( but I was late getting there) Great base to take off in day trips Definitely my go to should I ever return."

"After a week travelling through Northland, we found that David and Olive Motel was the best of all. Having the owner on site is a big plus too. David gave us the best advice re dinner and breakfast dining options. The motel was extremely clean, modern,conveniently situated, plus, and this is a big one, the shower did not leak water on the floor!! Very impressed - and made Coromandel a delight to stay at. Thank you."
