"We stayed for 3 nights in May while visiting Italy. I can't say enough positive things about the Ara Maris. We were in a room overlooking the rear pool/garden with a private hot tub. We did not miss viewing the sea as we'd seen it throughout the day. The room was spacious and we especially appreciated the double sinks and the separate water closet. "This hotel was amazing. The staff was very helpful and took the time to talk with you about your day and your plans, which made the experience seem much more personal. Breakfast was so good, and Fanchesco's cappuccinos kept us going for all the activities we had planned. This hotel is a little far to walk to the town center of Sorrento (for shopping and restaurants), but the frequent shuttle bus made that a non- issue for us."

"The property was located in a great location next to shops and restaurants. The train station was in walking distance if you plan on visiting Pompeii or Naples. Short boat ride to Amalfi and Positano. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this location if you plan on staying in Sorrento!"

"It’s a great place for a home base. Estimated mile to the marina. It is off the main road and is extremely loud! Be aware of that but it is a super comfortable bed and everything was so clean. Only downside they could not store luggage after check out but there are a lot of storage options around Sorrento. Once we made contact upon arrival they were very responsive. Highly recommend!"
