Summit cairn of Cnoc nan Each Cnoc nan Each, hill of the horse, in gaelic 311m gives a superb view. Red deer are often see on the upper slopes of the hills. In summer they avoid the midges found in the valley... the deer move down and in winter and especially early spring are seen on the low ground in Strath Carron.

Moorland slopes of Cairn Eididh towards Loch Carron The wire fencing in foreground divides the Coulags grazings and the deer forest of the Achnashellach estate.
