"The Lodge offers simple rooms with comfortable beds and an awesome view of Abbott Lake and nearby mountains. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant was quite good and super convenient. Don’t miss the walk around the lake, which is paved and accessible. It’s a great pre- or post-dinner stroll and we enjoyed it. Excellent stop while taking in the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway! Highly recommend!"

"We are used to staying in Marriott hotels because I have benefits but there wasn’t one any where close by so I chose this hotel based on price and reviews. When we pulled up, I was a bit anxious about what I would see inside and I must say…. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, beds comfy…. There was a bit of a smell which I couldn’t put my finger on but the area has a thing with stink bugs which the front desk has a warning about. Don’t worry… there were no bugs in the room just outside. Each room has a sliding door window that gives you a great view of the lush, green hills and easy access to your vehicle. I wouldnt mind staying here again especially when you’re just passing through."
