Hotel seems weathered. Pillows were clumpy. Pool was dingy. Not what I was hoping for based on reviews.

Was unaware of the freight trains that run behind the property when we booked our stay. As well we had some items stolen from the back of our pickup truck from a homeless camp sent up on the other side of the train tracks.

Don’t bother with this hotel chain as a whole…if you have to change a reservation they will bill you a “service fee”. The whole damn amount. Take good advice, book something else.

We booked at the Sandman in Cranbrook in order to have a swim after a long days driving. We were advised, after saying we were looking forward to a relaxing swim, that the pool was closed. We were not advised of this before we arrived. A couple of hours later, after a rest, I had to go to the front desk to find out how to work the tv remote. While there I said I was not happy about the pool situation and asked if we could have a reduction in our room rate. The very nice lady said as we had booked through Expedia, she could not refund, but would give us a voucher for $40 for the Denny’s restaurant adjoining the hotel. A word on the restaurant, filthy. Honestly, so dirty.

Denny’s was the highlight of this property, one of the hand towels was dirty by the sink, bathroom was the smallest I’ve been in , hotel very outdated and needs renovated, and the cost was ridiculous I’m guessing it was jacked up for the long weekend at $242. A night. Needless to say won’t be staying at this property again

Overall happy with our stay, bed was very comfortable, hotel is showing its age a bit, bathroom needs a reno, looks like the carpets and furniture have been updated, tv could be bigger but it always can be bigger lol, i'll be back next time i stay in Cranbrook for sure, price is on point

Staff was helpful and friendly. Pool area was closed for some reason. Desperately wanted to use the pool on last day of our trip. Kids were so sad due to Pool facilities. Had to wait about 15 minutes for the checkout. Nonone was at the front desk. A lovely lady suddenly appeared somewhere and helped me for the check out. Most of the problems could have been mixed easily. Nice property and location. I love the little kitchen, but NO Exhaust Fan. Food smell goes around the room.
