"Lovely hotel. Stayed with my wife for her birthday. We had a deluxe room which was quite a long walk from hotel reception. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was massive! Only negative points for the room were the amount of cobwebs and dust around light fittings and soundproofing between rooms. We could clearly hear people in other rooms using their toilet facilities. "A lovely property with tasteful decor. All the staff are very pleasant. Palm Court restaurant was really nice, and the gym and swim facilities were good. The Sunday carvery is excellent and complimentary products in the room a nice touch. Not a lot of seating in the bar if wanting drinks only, most of it is for eating. Similarly, car parking is at a premium with a wedding on. Changing rooms are quite small, and could do with a spin machine for drying trunks (many have these now)."

"The bed was very uncomfortable!!! It dipped in the middle so it was quite difficult to lie flat. The balcony only had one seat on it but, as we couldn’t get the door open anyway, that wasn’t a problem. I didn’t take a shower cap with me as I expected the hotel to provide a selection of toiletries. It didn’t. The shower head was a bit loose and out of my reach and, at one point, it was actually pointing at the wall with most of the water running down the wall. We definitely would not return and...

"Check in was easy and efficient, lovely clean room overlooking the canal. Staff at breakfast and in the bar were helpful and always polite. Can't wait to book again."

"Had a great stay here, it had everything from great food , friendly staff and a well equipped gym and pool. To top it off for us, it’s dog friendly too! All the staff were super helpful and attentive to our needs, from reception to bar and gym staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome, even the gym members. "Where do I start we got to the hotel on the first night go to the room to find there was no bedding for the kids we got charged for breakfast the next day for the kids the staff are useless the pool was closed by 7pm even tho is stated it was open till 9pm all the carpets in the hall way were taped down or ripped up the place is a joke for the price we paid"
