"Overall the hotel is excellent. Nothing is a bother for the staff and they are all very helpful and friendly. The views of the golf course are wonderful and could be seen from our room and from the dining room and bar. There is ample parking and you can park very close to the hotel. The included breakfast offered a very wide choice to suit all tastes and was excellent. They have a wide choice in the restaurant and bar menu too at very reasonable prices. "Loved the beautiful and nicely appointed Blue Room 💙 It was comfortable and had a roomy bathroom with a heated towel bar on a timer. Miss Julie straightened up every day and left us clean towels and topped off the supply of homemade Scottish shortbread. Breakfast was amazing; continental plus she'll cook anything else you could want. And, there are homemade jams 😋 The former manse is absolutely charming and homey and Miss Julie and Mr. Richard are completely lovely hosts."

"On arrival at 4:45pm I could not check in as the room was not ready. There is a shortage of employed staff. Reception was often not manned. There were no staff at breakfast other than one employee occasionally bringing in food to the buffet. No one else could be found to help. Most tables at breakfast were in need of clearing for the next to arrive but lay with dirty plates because there was no one to do it. All this for £97 for the night. I was glad to leave in the morning."
