"Great location! It is only about an 8-minute drive to the airport. While the parking lot is small, it is very convenient for travelers. However, breakfast should start at 6:00 AM rather than 7:00 AM to accommodate early flights. Fortunately, there is an unaffiliated restaurant right next door called The Corner that serves a pretty good breakfast.
The hotel definitely needs to improve its housekeeping, particularly in the bathroom and the shower floor. Additionally, the entrance to the bathroom has awkward, uneven steps that can be a tripping hazard, and the floor is quite slippery. The management should ensure that guests are provided with fresh sheets, clean floors, and washed blankets—the red blanket on the bed, in particular, seemed covered in hair.
On a positive note, the food at the bar and restaurant is decent, and the drinks are excellent. The hotel’s vintage theme is fantastic, featuring old TVs, pianos, radios, military gear, and 1950s cars. It feels like a cool mini-museum!
Overall, I would rate this property a 7.8 out of 10. With better customer service and deeper cleaning, it could easily be a 10. I highly recommend this spot if you have an early flight and want to avoid a super early morning drive from Santa Ana to the airport."
