Lawn Hill Gorge Situated within the remote north-west highlands of western Queensland, the park features spectacular gorge country, sandstone ranges in the middle of desert country. Lawn Hill Gorge is formed by Lawn Hill Creek, which is fed by numerous freshwater springs from the limestone plateau to the west and surrounded by sandstone cliffs. Able to swim and kayak up the Gorge from the camping area.

There's a great free campsite by the river at Gregory Downs. It's on the road between Normanton and Adels Grove in Outback Queensland. Follow the signs to Gregory Downs and once you see the pub take a left then go over the bridge and then take the first left down a dirt road to the river. Kids will love the tubing!

Inyereating little spot to say the least! I rocked up around lunchtime and there were already some patrons three sheets to the wind. I should have known better, but was duped into sculling a vodka and orange (about 85% vodka and 15% orange in a whisky tumbler) and had to hang around for a while so I'd be ok to drive afterwards. Highlights included the pod coffee, the governess (aka "her drunken mess"), good company, friendly staff and heaps of relics and Savannah Way information to look over. No way I'd be staying there though... my liver wouldn't handle it! Party Central in the Never Never ;-)
