"We had a really disappointing experience with Powhatan Motel. After driving 16 hours on a long road trip, we arrived around 3am expecting to check in, since the motel clearly advertises a 24-hour front desk and check-in availability after 4pm.
Unfortunately, that was not the case. There was no one available at the front desk, no way to check in, and no communication whatsoever from the property. We were completely exhausted and left stranded in the middle of the night with a valid...

"Although upon arrival, we were quite put off by the exterior condition and appearance of this old Quality Inn, once in our room, most everything seemed updated and clean. The beds and bedding were comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and the shower worked well. The heater was suitably quiet too. The TV was like any other motel TV's. "Staff greeted us well and were friendly toward pets. Easy check-in, and quiet atmosphere. Room was clean. Breakfast bar was nothing to boast about. Few guests made it difficult to be prepared for those who did want a hot breakfast. Perhaps management could consider offering a pre-order card to guests when volume is so low in order to prepare what is appropriate."
