"The courtyard was nice, flowers were beautiful. I found it double standard, I could have my dog, but was not allowed in courtyard but the owners dog was x2. I couldn't leave him in my room, so it made it impossible to enjoy the courtyard. I would totally respect that except their 2 dogs were not on leash. Will not go back. Not clean , windows very dirty , bathroom edges looked dirty. Small vanity. Just not great over all."

"The hotel was right on the lake and had a lovely beach. A great place for kids. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s many winery’s to visit close by. You can make your own meals or there’s a good selection of restaurants near the hotel. I would definitely recommend The Poplars Hotel."

"Lady at front was so helpful and helped us with bags we had as we were traveling from far and with motorcycles they allowed us to leave bags as rooms were not ready yet. Thank you all for making our stay awesome and rooms as well as beach and swimming pool were all awesome."

"The view from our fourth floor room overlooked the lake and was very nice! The hotel is run down and needs more than a paint job to fix it! There are a lot better hotels around the world that are cheaper than the money we paid. But, location is everything."

"The location is beautiful and the suite is very well appointed. There are dishes and glasses and it is very convenient to be able to cook if you do not wish to dine out. We noticed BBQs available as well. Great for families or for those who have spent the day driving and want to drink wine in their pj's. The linens in the suite are lovely and the towels are big enough for humans! The beach is stunning and the loungers and umbrellas make it feel like you are far away on vacation. The staff...

"This place was amazing. Exceeded all of our expectations. We walked in and the AC was blasting and the airflow was perfect. Such a nice environment to walk into. Two huge bedrooms and a massive living space. We’re in the middle of a huge western Canada road trip and by far this is the best place we stayed."
