"Great location near the old town and in front of the water. The best part is that you can swim in the lake in front of the hotel. The hotel looks great but it feels to me some of the server lack training and perhaps the chain is getting bigger as it doesn’t feel special anymore. In other high end hotels the check in is special, here it feels like any other check in."

"Its my 3rd time stay at Ibis Luzern. And always happy to come back this hotel. The location only 5 minutes using a bus from central luzern station (walking around 15 minutes). The room is good and the price so reasonable. They provide a microwave, hot water (coffee and tea) in lobby area. They give a Luzern pass too, so you can enjoy around luzern with free pass. "

"Breakfast was not good. Too many bees and insects. Hotel has an air conditioner which is a plus because we came august and it was terribly hot and humid in Switzerland. But the male employee in the reception was awesome! Carried a load of oir heavy luggages to store while we went around the city before we left. "

Then we came down to complaint about the lack of ventilation and air-conditioned, we got a first answer that all room on the city side were without AC, which was untrue. She just apologized. We ask a technician to check the device, no-one came. Then on departure, the Front Office Manager said only 8 rooms out of 250 in total had no AC. Why our 2 rooms paid $650 per night paid 2 month in advance and...

"Charming. Love the proximity to the lake. The pool is wonderful. Food is very good. Staff very friendly and hard-working. If the weather is very hot opt for a lower floor. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was very hot and some of the windows did not open. We are hearty and made it work with a fan and cold swim before bed but it was not ideal. The view is fairy-tale-like. Would go back and get a lower floor with balcony"

"The staff were very helpful and kind. The wait staff at the restaurants were wonderful. The employees go out of their way to ensure the guests are happy and satisfied. The room and the view of Lake Luzern was great. The hotel grounds are currently under construction for upgrades."

"Some staff were wonderful, others mediocre at best. Server at the restaurant told us to order everything together then forgot the appetizer. We were charged an extra 16CHF at the end of the stay that wasn't ours but was charged to the room, surely a mistake but their systems are unfortunately very old and they either can't look it up or don't care to, and the server likely didn't confirm at the time that the room was correct. The hotel appears short staffed so it makes sense this happens. I...

"No Air Conditioning! Room gets very hot in the Summer in this historic property and you have to sleep with the balcony doors open to try to cool it down. Got lots of mosquito bites because of that, and it didn't really feel safe."

"Amazing views, nice staff, breakfast is okay but same every day. The location is a bit far from the landmarks but the bus is right outside of the hotel so the commute is easy."
