"The Male, General Manager of this Shilo Inn was the rudest Manager I have ever talked to.
The place stinks like wet dogs in some places and animal urin in other place.
The carpets should have been replaced years ago.
The Pool and Spa haven't benn working for over a year but they still advertise that they have a Pool and Spa. We did'nt see any work being done on the pool or spa in the week we were there, the estimated completion is in 2027 but there brochures and internet advertise a pool and spa. This place is in dire need of repair and better management."
"My experience mirrors other recent reviews. Good budget option. It’s loud, slamming doors a constant day and night and inconsiderate loud people. Earplugs or fan white noise a must. But where else can you get a good clean room in Mammoth for this price that’s got walkable great food options? I wish the hot tub wasn’t so gross. At least the bath tubs are big. I thought the value was higher n par with the cost and I would go back. "
"Pluses: 1.) It's one of the few "budget" options in Mammoth that have covered parking. It can be a real plus if it's snowing. 2.) a huge indoor hot tub. 3.)Breakfast is included.
Minuses: basically everything else. The rooms are dumpy, climate control is non existent: with old radiators you either sweat to death or freeze. I complain about it every time when I visit mammoth: why is there no "Middle?" Either you're in a dumpy old condo, Dilapidated motels that are by far the worst locations in the chains (I've stayed in Q inns where gunfire is constant that look like the ritz compared to this place), or you're paying 600 plus a night for anything approaching the most mediocre Courtyard, comfort, or Holiday Inn in anytown USA. If it wasn't my favorite (and drivable) mountain I'd go anywhere else but I guess that's why they don't even try to improve anything. "
