"Cleanliness was fine. What we found disappointing was getting a text and an email at 8:00 in the morning asking us when we expect to check-out. Check-out time is at 11:00 a.m. and we had just come back from breakfast. At a hotel like Chateau Bedford you expect an elevated experience. But this didn't feel elevated at all, it felt unwelcoming and rather tacky. As an aside, we asked for a 6:00 a.m. wake-up call and it actually came at 5:00a.m."

"If you are flying out of Halifax early, there is no better place to stay. Elevator from your room to the lobby, walk out to the walkway to the terminal, escalator down one level and you are feet from Security, Tim Horton's and the airline check-in counters. You can also get to the hotel directly from Rental Car return."

"Had a short one night stay at this hotel, everything was perfect. Good variety of selections at the breakfast buffet. Room was clean, staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, water was hot. What more could I ask for? Have stayed here before, will be back."

"This property was an amazing find. It was very easy to book and the self-check process was very easy as well. We had a 2 bedroom unit on the top floor (stairs required) with a private balcony overlooking the lake (so scenic!) It was exceptionally clean and very spacious. Our fridge contained our breakfast for the following morning (muffins, fruit and other tasty morsels) as well as water. Coffee, tea, yogurt, and juices were available in the breakfast nook one level down. There was an inviting common room also one level down where you could meet and socialize with the other guests. We hit a home run with this place!"

"We arrived at the peak of the beautiful fall colours and the property and surrounding area were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The jacuzzi was large and filled up nicely with hot water, but trying to turn the jets on, even at the lowest setting, had too much splashing and so we couldn't really use them. The breakfast was SO good, highly recommend."
