"We only stayed for one night to make it easier to catch our ferry the next day. The hotel is well positioned, good value, with a large clean room. The only staff member we met was Frank, who was charming, very helpful and made us very welcome. His restaurant recommendations were also excellent"

"Lovely quaint hotel. Staff attentive and helpful. As per other reviews yes there are no lifts second floor rooms are a slight hike up. Yes the rooms could do with upgrading but for what you pay for a night and an ease of access to the port no complaints from us. We had a family quadruple room, good size but really warm room, no air con small windows but lots of road noise when open"

"The hotel has very small rooms. We booked a room for 3 and now we know that you can have a kids bunk bed above an adult bed. The room has a heater unit that only went down to 17 degrees. There was just enough room to walk round the bed and you have to be careful when you get out of the bathroom as if somebody is sitting on the edge of the bed you will get them. Otherwise loads of parking and room was clean. If for 1 person it is fine."

"Tell other travellers not to go there, as no amenities in room, no tea/coffee making facilities, went for breakfast on first day and they ran out of food. The receptionist told us no more. 2nd day the sausage was raw, it looked like they had been boiled, rather than fried or grilled and not enough space to accommodate everyone in the breakfast room."
