"Lovely hotel, amazing views, manicured gardens, excellent staff, (Carmen, Martina, Connie, Gaetano, Valentina, Laura, Roberta to mention but a few) good spa. However, there were 2 major issues which were not in keeping with a 5* at this price point: 1) there is a huge unattached manhole on the road in front of the hotel which makes a racket every time a car drives over it and keeps you up at night through the night; 2) a horrible drain stench from the toilet / bidet in the rooms. "Get the room with the view, fabulous view, and a big terrace. Good breakfast room, and was an easy walk to downtown. I thought the walk back was going to be a little hard, but was easy. Very relaxing atmosphere, and nice and quiet at night. I would recommend as a place to stay. There was a parking lot within 25 metres."
