"The hotel presents well, but there are a few challenges that warrant a lower rating than I first thought I would give. Location: One really needs to drive to see anything or go anywhere. There are no sidewalks, it is on the highway and nothing is really close by, only one expensive restaurant, besides the ones at the hotel. Public Areas: The hotel does not allow you to eat or drink any food not purchased at their restaurants on the grounds. This means that if you bring back some food, you are stuck eating it in your room. We typically bring down something to eat and drink at least once in our stay, but we were unable to do this at this hotel. We were there 3 nights (S-Wed), and many restaurants are closed on Mondays and Tuesday, so we ended up having to eat at the hotel restaurant more times than we had planned. It would have been nice to just pick up some food one of those nights and enjoy it in the public areas. The house keeping staff was great on the first night, but the second night they did not fill the tissues and left only about 10 in the box, also the bed was not as neat as I would have expected at the Prestige Ocean Front Resort. There are games being played at the dining room with regards to reserving tables. I was told that they could not guarantee a specific table- but it depended the parties. That was fine, but then when I arrived, I was told that the three tables by the window were all reserved for a party of 9 (they each seat 4) ."

"We always enjoy staying at the Chateau Victoria when we come down for a Getaway Family Weekend. It is always welcoming and nice to see that some of the staff have been there for over 20 years, which speaks volumes for the management and ownership. It is locally owned and operated, which means a lot to us. We always enjoy going to Vista 18, which is our favourite restaurant, enjoying the views of the Inner Harbour and the delicious food. We highly recommend their dinner special with 2 entrees, 2 dishes, and a bottle of wine for $150. The pool and the hot tub are a great way to burn the extra energy out of our 2-year-old so she can sleep well. The only thing that could have been improved was a better view for the room as we were looking out over the rooftop and had a view of the building next to us. Also there was a portable air conditioner in the room, which was very noisy. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The amenities in the hotel was very clean"
