We stayed here on our last night of trip. We had the private pool villa and the house was huge. We were welcomed with friendly staff. We ate breakfast and dinner here and both options were tasty for two picky American eaters. We used the shuttle to get to downtown Sanur since it is about a 5 minute drive away. We really enjoyed our stay here and the property is beautiful

직원, 음식, 서비스, 위생 모든 것이 좋으나 위치가 아쉬움. 위치가 사누르비치와는 거리가 있습니다. 걸어서는 20분이 더 걸리고 차로 이동하거나 자전거를 타야합니다. 밤엔 다니기 힘든 로컬 골목끝이라 밝을때만 다니길 권합니다. 음식은 매우 깔끔하고 맛있었고요 다만 가격이 좀 비쌉니다. 직원들 너무 훌륭하고, 특히 리셉션의 제이. 이 사람은 노련한 베테랑인데 친절하기 까지 해서 매우 의지까지 되는 직원이었습니다. 수영장은 넓은 편은 아닙니다. 위치를 생각한다면 조용히 쉬고싶은 분들께 권유드리고, 주변에 편의시설이나 음식점, 카페등을 원한다면 중심가쪽을 선택하시길 권유드립니다.

We only stayed one night at Visakha Sanur, but the Villa was perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful, we would’ve loved to have stayed longer.

Fantastisk lille plet. Man føler sig omfarvnet af både omgivelser og personale. Man fik et storslået værelse - romantisk med himmelseng og et unikt badeværelse med skønneste omgivelser. The staff were exceptional! The villas were stunning with private pool. We had a family suite with 2 separate bedrooms that was updated and very spacious. Only a few minute taxi ride to restaurants. They also have a shuttle service to Ubud during the day. Very pleased with the immaculate grounds, central pool besides the private pool and their restaurant was very good.

A useful guide if you are thinking of staying here
I found this Hotel on this site and we arrived late ona flight from London - it is at the end of a dingy badly lit street whose neighborhood is best described as a slum. On arrival I went albeit reluctantly into the front courtyard and was simultaneously shocked and appalled by the basic nature of the Hotel - dirty concrete slab as reception - badly lit and frankly terrifying - the only redeeming feature of my visit to the Hotel was the kindness of the taxi driver in ensuring the speediest of exits to find a real hotel for us.

Vid första anblicken funderade vi på om vi åkte vilse för att man fick åka på väldigt små gator som kändes lite skumma. Väl inne på hotellet så var det fint och personalen var hjälpsam. Hotellet låg lite utanför centrum men dom erbjöd gratis transport till och från centrum flera gånger varje dag. Frukostutbudet var väldigt bra. Vårt rum var väldigt fint, stort och fräscht och hade både dusch, badkar och egen privat pool. Ac:n på rummet var Väldigt bra.

Peut mieux faire
Nous avions logé dans la villa avec piscine privée pour une nuit. L'état général est plutôt bon, mais l'hotel est vieillissant et donc pour le prix on s'attend à plus de fraîcheur notamment au niveau de la piscine et de la chambre (boiseries, rouillures sur les miroirs). Sinon bon petit déjeuner. Nous voulions également faire le cooking class mais on nous a dit que c'était pas possible car pas d'équipe dispo, or pas d'indication sur le site sur les dates possibles pour faire l'atelier donc bien se renseigner avant de venir à l'hôtel.

Perfect family retreat.
The wonderful staff made our stay excellent. It’s a small and very quiet little retreat, it was just perfect for our little family. it is true it’s a bit of a distance to the center of Sanur; but, the free shuttle makes up for it

The space was super tranquil and verdant, the free breakfast was delicious, and they had a shuttle that made it easy to get to the main part of Sanur. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they actually upgraded my room to a private villa with my own pool that was perfect for a relaxing getaway!

Great get away from the busy world and just escape to peace and quite. Great location and the staff is amazing and the food is great too. You must try the Balinese breakfast. It’s amazing. On the cautionary side ...the water pressure for the sink and shower are a bit low but manageable and it’s sort of located off the beaten path.... but I would recommend this place.

This place was paradise. The food was great. The staff were all lovely and helpful. we loved our room and private pool. The outdoor bathroom was a highlight for us too.

Hotellet var slidt godt ned. Der var hul i taget til terrassen og til badeværelset. Vandskjolder og dryp når det regnede. Svimmingpoolen var uren på trods af at pumpen kørte konstant fliser var enten løse eller manglede. Trælster sad løst mange steder.

Not what we paid for
My husband and myself stayed here for four nights as the start to our 10th anniversary celebration,but it wasn't a good experience. We had booked a two bedroom villa on Expedia with private pool . From the time we arrived we were appalled by the state of the approach and entrance to the hotel .The entire resort lacks upkeep and maintenance.Stained garden umbrellas,dirty torn tray cloth on which our welcome drink was served,Airconditioning which didnt work well at night,bath tubs which we couldn't use as the plumbing hadn't been checked ,dirty pools in the common area and our private one, and foul smelling water when using the shower for bathing.The traditional Balinese style room was beautiful but the photographs on the net do not accurately depict the rundown state of the resort. We wanted to check out after the first night and Kadek the manager helped us to search for alternate accommodation, but being peak season in Sanur we were unable to get anything suitable.So we ended up staying here all the nights.Kadek was very helpful but our stay here was a big disappointment.

Quiet place, nice meal
We stayed two nights. We had welcome drink at the check-in, which was sweet and I really liked it. I cann't tell what was the drink though. We had dinner there, and everything was so beautiful and I especially liked pork sparerib!! The ambience was great and we had relaxing time there. I want to stay at this villa next visit too!

The villa's environment is nice and quite. The choices of breakfast include American, Continental, local, etc. The staff's service is very good. they are very friendly. I would like to stay in this villa again.

Hôtel superbe et authentique. Petite structure agréable, personnel aux petits soins, un peu excentré de la ville mais navette disponible toutes les 2 heures jusque 20h. La Chambre LANAI avec piscine privée dispose d un jardin super agréable et calme...

Has potential but poorly maintained, private pool was dirty moss on the steps leading into the pool made it unsafe, linen old and stained, shower had dirt on the floor, not a 4 star property

kaMAYA er et hotel som har mange værdier der kan sammenlignes med luxsus hoteller. Men dog mangler der kvalitets kontrol. Hotellet ønsker helt sikkert at give sig ud for at være mere end det rent faktisk er. Men har priser der svar til hoteller i den dyre ende. Der er ingen tvivl om at hotellet på et tidspunkt har været lækkert og været en fin lille eksotisk perle. Men hele hotellet er træt og trænger til en opfriskning. Der er ingen tvivl om at kaMAYA kunne være fantastisk, men der er desværre en del af kvaliteten i servicen og omgivelserne der gøre at det ikke kommer i mål. Hvis vi havde været her i høj sæson og betalt høj sæson pris ville jeg føle mig snydt.

Needs refurbishment urgently. No hot water. Had to shower in friends room. Power outage in room. Moved to another room. Smelly toilet. Moved to another room. Shower broken. 2 days to fix.

The room looked run-down and was too far from the main parts of Sanur. The restaurant and breakfast was nice. It was lovely that guests said hello to each other when they saw each other.

outrageously overpriced
This hotel is badly overpriced for what it is able to provide. A real scam. The buildings and grounds have been badly let go. The gardens are not cared for. The swimming pool isn't very clean. The photographs online are not recent. The location is very isolated and 'luxury spa' is not an accurate description. Do not believe the great price reductions online. Some of the employees try to help but some of the employees were very rude. With all the guests miserable and trapped it can't be a fun place to work - but the website advertisement and room costs are outrageous for what they are able to offer. On some nights you will have planes that sound as though they are landing on your head the entire night - and the airport does not have a cut off time for incoming or outgoing flights so the noise does not stop.

Resort away from beaches and streets. Provides shuttle or taxi to both. Return fare very inexpensive. Wifi for email at best. Staff very pleasant. Great for privacy. Small Villa property, not hotel chain.
