"We had to scramble to make new travel plans after our Alaska cruise was canceled, but we really lucked out with this place. It's in an older building near downtown, but it was immaculate and well-appointed. The few interactions we had with the neighbors were friendly. It's obvious that this property is well cared for and they take pride in it. We will recommend this place to anyone we know seeking temporary lodging in Anchorage! "

"Amazing location and property. I hesitated to write this review because I go to Anchorage so often and I want to stay here every trip if I can."

"I stayed for a week conference being held at the Capt Cook hotel. I actually enjoyed my stay here at the waterfront rather than the hotel itself. Quiet, nice park in front. Does require stairs to access. Super comfy and clean inside. Washer/dryer avail which was a big plus. Internet worked great. Thank you!!"

"Loved the location to downtown. Yard kinda trashy; nothing to look at except large apartment/condo building. Didn’t deter overall experience, as we were on the go. Beds comfortable; blackout shades need a couple updated, but they did the job. Be prepared for steep, 14 stairs to living level."

"This was a cozy, rustic-modern place within walking distance to the coastal trail and excellent food! My only complaint is that the bed was pretty small. I don’t know what size it was but felt like a full bed and wasn’t the most comfortable for two people."

Very comfortable clean and the owner texted us a couple times during our stay to make sure to let him know if we needed anything! He was really great! If we ever get back to Anchorage we would definitely book with him again 😊"
