Good position and nice hotel

We have been here a few times and it’s changed a bit over the years. It’s a little bit tatty in places but the rooms are large and clean with everything you need. It’s about a 5 min walk to the centre but just far enough out to be peaceful at night. Whilst all the staff were very good and helpful, I should of got the name of the young lady on reception who was a bundle of fun and very good at sorting any problems.

The hotel was clean, though the bathroom could do with refurbishment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking payable in the horel at a duscounted rate.

Nice hotel, great service, poor parking.

The staff in the hotel were fantastic. The room was a little dated but I understand tgey are currently undergoing a refurb. All in all very happy with what we got for the price. Parking was an NCP carpark which wouldnt accept Mastercard on the app which was a pain but got sorted in the end.

We booked a two night stay as we were going to trance in the woods. Location of the hotel is good with just a short work into the centre. My booking stated we booked a standard room however on arrival we were given an accessable room. With the windows looking out over Tesco carpark. So the curtains had to stay mostly closed. My wife liked the light in the bathroom as she said it was good for doing her makeup. However you did feel a little exposed in there. Also we had no hot water. We did bring this to the staffs attention. However we didn't have time to wait for solutions so had to boil the kettle for a wash as who actually likes a cold shower. In the evening when we returned back from the event. The manager did offer to move us or offer a room to shower in the morning and a free breakfast added onto our account. Would we book this hotel for next year? Highly unlikely.

My room and bathroom were pleasant and modern. Staff was very helpful at getting me set up as a Best Western rewards member and suggesting where dining options might be found in the neighborhood. Breakfast buffet was great Dislikes: Lots of stairs - my room was on the second floor and it required going both going up and down to reach it. Parking was paid.

this was an interesting find for me to do a review my husband booked the room for a one night stay back in February he told me it was a nice room unfortunately he booked for 2 adults and i wasnt with him on this stay so i think knocking shop is a better description
