"The floors were very sandy. I just checked my credit card and I was charged $200.00 for the pet fee that I was quoted $100.00. Their dog park was full of holes and tall weeds. I asked when they were going to cut the tall weeds and 5 days later the weeds all around the hotel still hadn’t been cut. For a Marriott that place needed a lot of maintenance work inside and outside. The breakfast was okay and the clean up ladies were very nice."

Cons- There are no hooks in the bathroom sink area to hang your hand towels. There was only a small square table right next to the toilet, where you could put your items and the hand towels, which was very awkward. The bed was just okay; it was sinking in the middle. "We are just crazy about Cypress House. The property is unique as are the proprietors. They are very helpful, funny, everyone of their dining suggestions were spot on., and as good as our meals were, breakfast was the best meal of the day. Comes with breakfast, centrally located near beaches, shopping, and attractions. Communication was excellent, and staff was friendly and helpful. Keyless entry was smooth and uncomplicated. "Great location and amazing staff!! If you get a dunes view stay, you are literally looking at a hill of cactus and weeds.. like a wall in front of you. Ask for a floor above 2. The breakfast is okay. Vending for snacks , ice and vending for drinks are all on different floors. Parking is tight. Very clean! Room was spacious. The bathroom is terrible !"

"Beautiful view of the ocean. Pool was in a different location than our hotel, which is definitely not convenient. Bathroom could have been cleaner- mold on the tiles. The balcony and view were my favorite part of the experience. Very pet friendly, which we absolutely loved. Great location, we walked to the pier and a few restaurants. I would come back again."

"Great Stay! I was a little concerned with past reviews but figured out that the bad reviews were from the previous hotel. This is a newly taken over Home 2 and what you’d expect from a great Hilton family! It is exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful Oceanfront room with a balcony, kitchenette and easy parking! Room was clean and staff was amazing! We will be back anytime we are in the Outer Banks area!"
