"When we're in the Farmville area, this is always our hotel of choice. The staff (especially Ashley!) is wonderful, the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is great (and the lady who manages the breakfast area is the best!) and the pool is a great extra."

"Hotel was nice, but I recommend getting a room on the top floor. I could hear the people above as they walked and kids running through their room."

"Have driven past this property hundreds of times over 30 years and finally stayed here. It by far exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean, up to date and comfortable. The breakfast included was very good. I will plan to repeat this exercise again as it was quite enjoyable."

"This was the worst place ever there were stains on the sheets, the TV didn’t work, the curtains looked like they got them out of a dumpster, the wash clothes looked as if they were used and hung back up for the next guess, and the sink and tub were cracked in several places. This hotel was just remodeled, I can’t tell what they did. They need to exterminate I killed at least 2 roaches. "

"We were fortunate to be the only ones staying so we didn't have any issues with the shared bathroom situation. It was pleasantly warm which was surprising because the house is so big. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast piece is definitely not really a thing anymore and it seems like the place is for sale but it's a lovely area and the grounds are gorgeous. We had a fantastic stay after apple picking. "

"Michael was an excellent host. Property was clean and equipped as promised. Complete with Keurig and K-cups! Very quiet community, close to the places that we needed to go. High Bridge Trail is nearby, Three Rivers Brewery in Farmville. Nice selection of local houses of worship in the area. Would definitely recommend"

"This is truly a unique apartment on the James...It's rough hewn wood framing interior and Elizabethan-style decor lend an air of the spiritual and mystical to your stay. The master bed is SOOO comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. There are fabulous views from every room. Note that while there is room for 5 guests to sleep, there are only two bedrooms - one with a king size bed, one with a twin bed and one fold out couch in the living room area.
