"The room was not clean on arrival and the pricing of drinks a little above inflation increases. Also was told staff member would attend my room to discuss a serious matter and did not attend ."

"À environ un km de la rue principale où sont tous les restos. A distance à pied de la plage. L’hôtel semble avoir été rénové récemment, mais est déjà défraîchi: chambre minuscule et sans lumière avec du moisi dans la salle de bain, les vitres sont très sales et la literie laisse à désirer. Les piscines ne sont aucunement rafraîchissantes et très sales. Je n’y retournerais pas."

"Bed could of been better and air con smelt a bit musty (but that's FNQ for you i guess) Property was really neat and tidy and made our stay really comfortable. Kids loved the pool. Would recommend for anyone looking to visit Port Douglas."

"close to beach and the bed sheets and pillow where clean."

"Great place to stay."

"The facility is a little old."

"Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. They were always anticipating guests’ needs. Spa was also fantastic and great service."

"Amazing property, spacious rooms, beautiful pool, great amenities. 5-min walk to main strip of restaurants, 10-15 min walk from reef tour meeting points. All rooms have balconies facing one of two pools, very quaint, romantic resort. Great AC and fans in rooms. Only warnings: housekeeping is by request only and costs money each day; and front desk is staffed 9-5 and no overnight coverage. This wasn’t necessarily a deterrent but given the price for the rooms, i was a bit taken aback to see these...

"A very nice hotel in a great location. Clean and beautifully maintained. The staff were outstanding and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose By the see again next time!"

"Lovely swim out room was very clean. Could use some updating though."

"Beautiful central building and pool. ~Fantastic location and view of the ocean."

"It was in a good spot for easy access to the shops and also to the beach, though it took a bit of walking. It was very comfortable and had a washing machine and dryer just outside our door, which was handy. Small things were that one of the chair seats was a bit loose and the blind at the window became stuck. Otherwise it was a great place to stay."

"Room was basic for the price but good and clean overall. A 10ish minute walk to town. Kind of wish the parking situation was better but it is what it is. Aircon was a bit too warm as it had to stay on 24°c. Shower was small but just enough. Overall good stay"

"A lovely stay, comfortable apartment enjoyed by all guests"

"Great place"

"Excellent location. Right in the middle of the Main Street in town."

"Chambre pas tres propre"
