"I enjoyed the kangaroo steak for dinner at the Tides restaurant. It was accompanied with sweet potatoes and broccoli. It was all excellent! I also loved being able to sit at the beach and sit by the pool. It made it an enjoyable experience."

"This lodge was in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest, which was so cool. There was a tiny pool, but 2 nice natural swimming holes to wade in However, food was quite pricey for the quality you received in the restaurant. The Continental breakfast was a nice touch in the morning. It was great that we were loaned a flashlight and umbrella for our stay."

"Greg, the proprietor, is a great guy, welcomed us personally, showed us into our room, set us up with excellent Starlink WiFi first thing and prepared a beautiful, big breakfast for us the next morning with sweet papaya, melon, excellent coffee, and poached eggs on ham, cheese and avocado toast. The room was comfortable and clean, with TV, and a fridge. The property is beautiful, nestled in the rainforest with countless birds and green mountains behind. "Ferntree was basic accommodation. Towels were shabby, lighting around the place was not sufficient at night, restaurant food was below par, the beds were uncomfortable and the noise between rooms was far too evident"

"Amazing place! Has everything you need except cellular service - but let’s be honest you don’t need that either. Host was great and had suggestions on things to see nearby. The on property swimming hole was so nice for a hot summer day. Visit the insect museum nearby if it is open. "
