"Unfortunately this property has passed its heyday which is a shame as the potential is there. If you are looking for a relaxing break forget it as it is geared towards hen weekends/ spa breaks and multiple weddings. Property maintenance is sadly lacking everything looks tired and rundown. The drawer in our bedside cabinet would not close and the shower barely clung onto the wall. Suggest requesting a room somewhere quiet if there is such an area. "Great price for the stay. Came in June thought so our room was very hot. The ceiling fan didn’t work so the room was very hot. I brought this up at check out and they just said thanks. The breakfast was amazing and the team friendly. The spa looks great in places and tired in others. Car charger was an absolute bonus before my long trip home!"

"The castle was beautiful and a great stay for our group. Since there is no air conditioning, the rooms were very hot, making sleep difficult so having proper fans for guest rooms would have been appreciated. Other than that, the hotel and grounds were beautiful."

"Had a two night stay in Room 1. Staff all friendly and helpful. WiFi was on the blink.so not available on our room. They said they needed to fix it. Room was spacious. Lovely bathroom but lighting in both room and bathroom could be brighter. Water hot but found controls on shower difficult to adjust. Tea making facilities all good but I brought my own herbal tea - only standard tea available. Small bottle of still and sparkling water provided."

"Very nicely situated in a quiet village area 3miles from the town centre. Large car park at the rear and easy access to a bus service outside. Clean pub and rooms of a reasonable quality. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Well priced."

"For the price you are getting a private room and private bathroom, you can come and go as you please all which I found ideal, location is also good. Clean bed and linen, clean towels, good shower. No TV, staff won’t help, never fixed or alternative provided, requested reasonable 10-15% refund no response or reply.
