"Generally a value-for-money hotel. While the public areas were immaculately maintained, the room we were given could benefit from a makeover. For example,the small seating unit was broken at its l-shape join. Also, an ironing board was provided, but no iron. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, though a bit reminiscent of a roadside cafe ie not in-keeping with the hotel's image - though reasonable considering the price"

"The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. "Had a smooth n quick check in, bit once again let down by lack of parking and only 1 toilet roll in the room. Other than that the stay was good."

"I paid for an executive room for 3 nights, it wasn't what I was expecting, really basic, no extras, not even shampoo. Bed was rock hard. No restaurant, even though it says there is one on the building, the £11 breakfast was cereal yoghurt and fruit. Staff were helpful, in the first room I was assigned the toilet seat wasn't attached to the toilet... They moved us to another room, but it really wasn't a good night's sleep. Told them my unhappiness and they gave us a refund on the other 2 nights...
