"Check in process did not go well and people at front desk did not seem overly friendly unless you spoke german. Housekeeping has a lot to be desired. We asked for our room to be cleaned. We got some new towels and the bedspreads were straightened out. No vacuuming, no wash cloths no clean glasses. The so-washcloth queen bed was two twin beds pushed together with a very uncomfortable seam in the middle and individual blankets on each side. Would not be my first choice to stay at again visiting...

"Very well kept and extremely well located hotel, adjacent to the convention centre, so its purpose is obvious. The rooms are nice and clean, the bathrooms are modern and well designed. The gym is large and fairly well equipped. The staff is super friendly and efficient. A go-to place for those attending a meeting at the congress centre, and even for non business tourists."

"Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Frühstück war sehr gut. In Punkto Sauberkeit muss ich einen Abstrich machen. Es lagen mehrere lange dunkle Haare auf dem Boden (sowohl im Bad als auch neben dem Bett). Als Willkommensgruss gab es einen kleinen Fruchtteller und abends ein kleines Betthupferl."

"Parking and electric charging have to pay for severely. Pillows and bed not very comfortable.other than that, great location and in good condition."

"The place is old, but the staff is polite. The room was a little uncomfortable because it was stuffy. The fan worked, but it didn't help much. The dinner was delicious and the service was excellent."

"Staying in the summer is a nightmare, the air conditioning in the room was not working properly, I complained to the front desk and they changed me to another room only to encounter the same problem, the mini fridge located in the room did not cool either, sweaty nights are not fun, I have to get a fan to at least have air circulation in my room, very disappointing stay at this hotel"

"The location is in the heart of Basel. I requested and stayed on the floor with the balcony overlooking Barfusser Platz and recommend that. If you are traveling with a car and luggage, parking is not at the hotel. Breakfast is good with everything except, eggs/ bacon. The rooms are large and clean but have no other amenities like a fridge (accessible at front desk), safe..."
