"I was allocated a tiny room with no air conditioning. Shower also didn't work. In fairness, when i reported problems, staff quickly put it right. I paid £288 for 2 rooms which i feel were very substandard. However staff were excellent and food was good."

There were no spare pillows in the room (I don't want to have to ask), no toilet brush in the rest room which is fine if maid service makes a good job of cleaning the toilet; which they didn't. Beginning of mould in shower could have done with a deep clean in bathroom.No air conditioning in rooms really isn't good enough in this day and age. "We love staying here, so close to the beach, the shops and town, it has been our fourth stay, one of our stays was not very positive, I had to get housekeeping to clean the bathroom, unfortunately, I had to clean it too when we got back, still had long black hairs in the bath, all over the floor, the sink. I love this place for an away weekend but please pay more care to cleanliness"

"The hotel is nice. The hotel pub is the same. And the staff is polite. The coffee machine DID NOT WORK in the room. You couldn’t even put the mug (from the hotel room not my personal one) to pour coffee in it because it is too big. In the room there are no sockets. I wanted to charge my laptop and other devices, I didn’t have where. There are two “sockets” on one side and the other of the bed STRICTLY for phone cables. Meaning you insert the cable directly. "Our apartment room was one of the best rooms we have stayed. Easily 1500 square feet, and a terrific bathroom with large bath and shower. The staff in the bar area were all very young and inexperienced. They had to ask what makes up an Aperol Spritz and it looked like the bar tender had never opened a bottle of wine before: once he had eventually located thr requested bottle. "The hotel is in an excellent position for exploring Chester. Breakfast was cooked to order and there's plenty of choice. There was a problem with one of the two rooms booked which was not fixed during our stay but we received a partial refund quickly."
