"I can appreciate that at one time, this was a great resort however, it is showing it's age big time. We had no TV and the restaurant was closed due to renovations. Our room was clean but the light in the bathroom wasn't working properly and the shower nozzle dripped while taking a bath. Bedding was very clean and it was just fine for our overnight that we needed to book asap. The staff were very friendly and accommodating however, it wouldn't be my first choice if we were visiting the area...

"Although an older hotel I found it clean and comfortable the 4 times I have stayed there over the past 5 or so years. The owner is delightful and very helpful. There is a lovely pool on site and lots of wildlife about. Restaurants are close by in Haliburton village as well as a Tim Hortons . Will be booking there again next year for sure."

"We were unfamiliar with the Haliburton Post House and booked two nights , mid week, on a whim to get out of town. The room was beautiful, the food and wine selection was great. We took advantage of their waterfront and toys on what may have been the hottest day of the year. Thanks to the staff who made us feel welcome and were the highlight of our stay."

"very steep stairs leading to rooms. Property is showing signs of wear and tear. We received emails regarding questions of access and connection to after-hours staff after we left!!! The room was clean and well stocked but showed its age. there is a much better option 10 minutes up the road for almost half the price. There are no extra amenities to speak of . Basically, there are only 2 options within the village and thus, this one is overpriced. Stay in Haliburton or Bracebridge instead."

"We booked our stay in advance and it fell on the weekend of a huge snow storm 3 feet. Power went out as well. But we had heat thankfully, and owners had a generator. They kept the driveways clear of snow. The view was picturesque. It was peaceful fun. "

"Stayed with my family for two nights. The cottage is very quiet even though the cottages are located in close proximity to each other. The check in and check out was simple and easy. There are plenty of water activities available to take part in (paddle board, canoes, and kayak). We would stay here again. "
