"The pool was closed for maintenance. There was no indication on the website or Expedia that that was the case. Very disappointing. I chose HI Express because of the pool for my grandkids who live in Campbellsville, KY. I could have stayed for $50 leass at Best Western (pool was not open until June 30)."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was large and the patio was nicely decorated. We had a good meal and great cocktails in the bar/restaurant. The Trail Hotel is located just out of town, so it was easy to drive to downtown Bardstown or take a taxi. The room was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We will devinitely come back again!"

"Alexis checked us in and was very helpful when we needed towels or anything for our room. We stayed in 106 and it had it's own private entry way. The only thing was that it was next to the conference room and they did have a meeting one day while we were there and could hear them before the meeting started. "They recently had a Fire and Water leak. We were not notified that there wouldn’t be breakfast due to the damage. We chose this hotel for that reason. Notifications should have been sent to us so we could chose to change our reservation."

"Property was very clean and it has a great location. while not the fault of the complex or management, there was a street carnival about a mile away that did not end until about 12:30am. the music was terribly loud. i cant imagine what it was like closer to it"

"Absolutely enjoyed our four-night stay at the Jailer’s Inn—great location with several great restaurants and taverns close by. The Bourbon Trail with several world-renowned distilleries, is also close by. Paul, the owner, and all his staff were extremely welcoming. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Private parking is available too!! A definite place to enjoy Bardstown and take in the area's history. We will be back!!"
