"This is an old motel style room, quite small but very clean and fresh smelling.The furniture has seen better days but the room had been painted and I liked the new luxury vinyl tile floor. The king bed was a very comfortable beautyrest. Breakfast was just ok."

"We only spent one night there, we arrived around 9pm which meant the bar/restaurant was closed. Would have been nice if we could have got a drink in the bar. The room was booked for 3 people however, there were only 2 cups. Theses were just minor issues and would definitely stay here again. Good location close to the centre. Comfy beds in a nice sized room."

"This is what you would hope for when stopping for a night. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was clean. The heat and wifi worked well. They appear to be updating the room so there were some unfinished finishes. But all in all, I am happy a friend recommended this otel."

"This was everything we hoped it would be. Unique, private, clean, well equipped as it should be and convenient to the North coast for all the beauty and wilderness it has to offer. Everything worked except for the weather which no one can control. When I come back to Cape Breton, I will be booking Blue Bayou again and well in advance since it will soon be a must for thousands of Cabot Trail visitors throughout the season."

"The staff that received us that night was very nice and accommodating. The room is very clean but the smell is not pleasant. Maybe because it's has the aged over the years. Even in the night, the moon shines thru the water. I wish i could have stayed here just even for a day..."

"Wonderful view- situated on a hill overlooking the water. As the owner stated, " the view never gets old" :) Easy check-in with helpful owner. The breakfast eating area in the dining room had very large windows and soft music added to the ambience."

"Our room was okay. The property is older but our room had what we needed ~ a clean bathroom and comfy bed, nothing special. Typical amenities for average cost. Tim Hortons is next door and not too far from town. I think the owner could use some help. The floor in our room could use a vacuum and washing so I kept my socks on."
