"Amazing place - blew mind as an east coast guy "

"I stayed in the female dorm which had its own bathroom, so was very safe and secure. The bunk bed was comfortable and had a lockable drawer for keeping valuables, (was a little squeaky for leaving early in the mornings though). There are a few stairs to get in and up to rooms, so good if you are carrying light luggage or if you dont mind there are no lifts."

"Staff was so nice and accommodating. The front desk offered snacks, plug converters, & umbrella rentals. The room was so nice and the views of the city & Rembrandt park were beautiful. We loved that they also had 2 restaurants on site & room service. The breakfast was so good! And the view from Floor 17 was stunning!"

"Everyone was upbeat and kind, and towels are available just inside the front door if you got caught by the rain. The bar provided me with a much-needed patron pick-me-up, and our large tv and bed provided a cozy experience for our last night in Amsterdam."

"I stayed at the CitizenM Amstel property in June 2025 for 2 nights. The room was larger than other hotel rooms I’ve experienced in Amsterdam. The air conditioner worked tremendously well which I find rare for Europe. The room was VERY clean (I’m very picky about cleanliness) and VERY quiet (I had a room overlooking the garden). The location isn’t super walkable to many of the tourist attractions, but it is next to the bus / metro which allows for easy transport between neighborhoods. The lobby...

"Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Sadly and typically weak European shower water pressure 😅, but that in NO way detracted from the awesome experience at Backstage. Would definitely recommend."

"Sehr effizientes Design, hat gut gepasst für 2 Nächte. Die Klimaanlage hat sehr geholfen. Manchmal ist unsere Dusche random angegangen, das war etwas seltsam. Die Wände sind nicht besonders dick, d.h. man bekommt einiges aus den anderen Zimmern mit."
