"We enjoyed our stay. We paid a bit more for the balcony room with panoramic view and balcony. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy. The balcony was small and dated but fine to sit out on for a drink. We had breakfast once which was nice. The pool is good for a refreshing dip but does get v busy at certain times. "Not sure where the photos on GMaps were taken but it doesn’t look like this hotel. We were initially given a room on the ground floor with no aircon. Summer of 2026 - 36 deg. We travel with a dog and a cat! Don’t ask! We queried the aircon and the receptionist move us to the first floor which are the pics I have shared. "Fabulous location, metres from the cathedral's main facade. Really a restaurant (OK) with rooms. Unusually large room; clean, carpetted, tastfully furnished, comfortable bed, plush sofa for the TV (good, with streaming channels). Krupp coffee maker; bottled water, no kettle, fridge, or safe; no a/c, noisy fan. Shower room OK: antique basin tap broken and shower tap kept turning itself off, but hardly mattered. "Very welcoming and set in the historic center -or very close. Large, comfortable room, multi-lingual receptionist and excellent breakfast, much of which is home made/home grown, including the jams. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on this particular evening, but if breakfast was anything to go by I expect a dinner there would be equally delicious. (There were other restaurants in easy walking distance.) I look forward to staying there again."
