"We've been visiting this hotel for many years. It has a path in the back leading right to buttermilk falls State Park, which is huge highlight. But the hotel did change ownership in 2024, and it seems it's still finding it's stride since then.
There were renovations last year, which we were excited to see. We found the resulting lounge well done but quite small. The lobby is nice but not a huge change.
Seems they need to work on the rooms... our room needed a new shower fan and toilet seat...

"Well equipped room .. it had everything we needed. There are a lot of light switches so it’s confusing at night to try to put them all out. AC is good but very noisy. The gym is open 24 hours and is one of the best hotel gyms I’ve used. "

"Small but very beautiful & upscale experience. Spa was wonderful. Pricey but very nice. Everything was high quality & it was a great experience even in the winter. Loved the French /Monet theme. Even the furniture was detailed that way. Very clean & staff very accommodating. "

"The description perfectly matched the house: its amenities, location, and overall experience were exactly as presented. It is ideally situated between the train station and Main Street, making it a great option for guests who do not drive. The owner was very responsive, timely, and kind"
